Panther Showdown Fundraiser

The Panther Showdown will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM, featuring an exciting basketball game where SSI staff take on students in a fun, family-friendly competition. Enjoy the energetic atmosphere, a lively halftime show, and plenty of school spirit throughout the evening. Sponsored by SSI Home & School, all proceeds from the event will directly benefit SSI students and staff, supporting activities, classroom needs, and community events.

WHAT:

The SSI Panther Showdown — a students vs. teachers basketball game celebrating our biggest fundraiser of the year!
The school will coordinate the student team, and all students will receive details on how to sign up for a chance to play. There is no cost to participate.

WHEN:

Fundraising runs Saturday, November 1st through Sunday November 16th.
The Panther Showdown event is Thursday, November 13th, 6:00-8:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30 pm.

WHERE: SSI Gymnasium

WHO: All SSI students and their families

WHY: To raise money for educational experiences and supplies for all students attending SSI.

EVENT DETAILS:

Wristbands are required to enter the gym — space is limited, so purchase early!
Concessions and raffle tables will be located in the cafeteria outside the gym.
Bring cash to join the 50/50 raffle or punch cup game.
Don’t miss the mascot race and toss-the-dot challenge — fun for all ages!

Concession & Raffle Tickets (Buy Early and Save!):

$1 for 1 ticket
$20 for 25 tickets
$50 for 65 tickets
$100 for 135 tickets

(Tickets at the door will be $1 each.)

Tickets will be used for purchasing concession items, playing our ‘Punch Cup’ game, and for entering the drawings for our raffle trees. Winners of the raffle trees do not need to be present to win, therefore ALL RAFFLE TICKETS NEED TO BE LABELED WITH A NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. Use address labels, stamps, etc to label them ahead of time!

Online ticket sales close at 5 PM on Monday Nov. 10th! Tickets will be sold during lunches on Wednesday, Nov. 12th and Thursday, Nov. 13th. Online ticket orders will be sent home on those same days.

Cash will be needed for 50/50 raffles. You don’t want to miss our mascot race or toss the dot game (both 50/50 raffles)!

VOLUNTEERS/DONATIONS NEEDED

Many volunteers are needed to help make this event a success! Please consider signing up to lend a hand.

We’re also collecting gift cards or monetary donations for the Raffle Trees, which will be featured at the event on November 13. Each house has been assigned a theme with corresponding gift card locations, and the Raffle Tree Committee will assemble themed trees using these donations to display and raffle at the event. Please use the link below to find your child’s house and sign up if you’re able to contribute. Students may bring donations directly to their teachers.

FUNDRAISER INCENTIVES
All students will have a chance to win — with prizes for both individuals and classes!
Individual incentives:

Register your child by Nov. 7th: Earn extra technology time on their Chromebooks during an advisement period.
Collect at least one donation: Get “ICED” with a Sparkling Ice drink at lunch on either Nov 7th, 14th, or 21st.
Collect $50 in donations: Receive a certificate for a special treat from Chick-fil-A.
Collect $100 in donations: Earn a silly string party.
Collect $250 in donations: Enjoy a catered lunch.

The top 3 fundraisers in the school will each receive:

A pizza lunch with Mrs. Wellens/Mrs. Schramka and 5 of their friends!

BACK AGAIN! "50 State Challenge" - Be the first student to receive a donation from each state. The first student from a new state gets their photo and name on the bulletin board map, as well as a candy bar prize.

Classroom incentives:

Week 1 (Nov 1-8): Class with the highest weekly increase will win donuts, and their teachers receive lunch from Home & School on 11/10.
Week 2 (Nov 9-16): Class with the highest weekly increase will win donuts, and their teachers receive lunch from Home & School on 11/17.
Any class meeting their goal wins an extra recess and a treat, and their teachers get a $5 Starbucks gift card.
The top fundraising class overall in each grade will win a Pizza Lunch Party!

If SSI surpasses its goal of $50,000, then the whole school will celebrate with a popcorn and movie afternoon! So get registered and let’s go!
