Silver Spring Intermediate Home & School Board Nomination Form

We are on the search for SSI parents who are interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors for the 2024/2025 school year. If you have interest, please fill out the form below and we will contact you!  Elections will be held during the May SSI Board Meeting on May 14, 2024.

DUTIES OF POSITION:

CO-PRESIDENTS: The co-presidents authorize the meeting agenda and preside at all meetings of the Home and School and acts as intermediary between school and parents. The co-presidents are also an ex-officio member of all standing and special committees.

SECRETARY: The Secretary shall prepare Home and School Meeting agendas, keep correct records of all meetings, has custody of all past and present minutes of the Home and School, and shall have a current copy of the Bylaws.

CO-TREASURERS: The Co-Treasurers manage all monies of the Home and School; shall keep accurate record of receipts and expenditures and shall pay money only voted by the Home and School as allotted for in the budget. The Co-Treasurers shall present of account at all corporation meetings and shall make a full report at the school years last corporation meeting. An outside party may audit the Co-Treasurer’s accounts at the end of the school year.

IT/SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR: The IT/Social Media Director will manage all IT aspects of the Home and School including web, email, signups and social media. The IT/Social Media Director shall send out all notices of meetings in the Panther Press (school newsletter).
